Mâles
The installation "Males" portrays all the men the artist has been enamored with, as life-size 3D heads cutouts printed on bended metallic sheets and organized chronologically on 7 wooden shelves.
Each man is presented as a trophy or a target, stylized with the decorative finish of a chrome effect to preserve their anonymity. Various fridge magnets on each cutout face inform and rate each relationship. One can find the initials of the person, the location of the “romance”, the intensity of the relationship (color) and it’s length in days.
"Males" was featured in the exhibition catalog of 'Man as Object, Reversing the gaze' - SOMArts Cultural Center - Women's Causus for Art - San Francisco.
