WONDER WOMEN

Women Wonder is a series of videos portraits of current and recent past female politicians having served, or serving the highest functions in their respective countries. The series exposes each of the 22 selected women, many unknown to the western world, through the layering of filmed speeches and interviews. The number of clips usually depends on the number of years the person was either in power or in the public eye, the number can also be limited by the available online resources about a specific politician. The thickness of the resulting texture reflects visually and audibly the complexity, the toughness and the many faces necessary to generate one political animal. The series reveals patterns and trends that portrays female power.MRT: A Portrait
