The Forest West is a site-specific mural and light installation designed to revitalize a dormant section of the HighLine within Westbeth Artists Housing’s building. Inspired by tree root systems, the project symbolizes interconnectedness among nature, history, and the creative community. Central to the installation are six concrete pillars and a ceiling, adorned with painted gradients and programmed neon lights, which changing colors reflect events within the community. Visible from the street, it invites public engagement.
